Miami Beach's proposed FY2027 capital budget includes a significant reduction to the Bicycle-Pedestrian Safety Fund — from $4.2M to $2.9M. If approved, this cut would delay or cancel several planned infrastructure improvements including the North Beach bike lane expansion and safety improvements at several high-injury intersections.
Budget hearings are scheduled for March. Public comment periods are available at each hearing.
